Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for coating)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Stir in a mixture of cornstarch and water, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into about a 1/4-inch thick round.
  3. Place about one tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each biscuit. Fold and pinch the edges tightly to seal.
  4. Dip each bomb in melted butter, then coat with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
