  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 grams dark brown sugar
  • 110 grams vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 140 grams sour cream
  • 100 grams butter (for frosting)
  • Homemade salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Grate the apples and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and allspice.
  4. In another bowl, mix both sugars with vegetable oil, followed by eggs, sour cream, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  5. Combine wet and dry mixtures gently; add grated apples.
  6. Pour batter into the pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For frosting, beat butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar, caramel sauce, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Once cooled, frost the cake with caramel buttercream and drizzle with extra caramel.
