3/4 pound extra lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 (15-ounce) can chopped stewed tomatoes
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook 3/4 pound of extra lean ground beef with 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 chopped yellow onion for about 10 minutes until browned.
Stir in 1 (15-ounce) can chopped stewed tomatoes, 1 cup beef broth, 2 tablespoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
Reduce heat to low and cover; let simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.
Add 1 (15-ounce) can rinsed pinto beans and 1/2 teaspoon salt; simmer for another 15 minutes.
