  • 1 can (28 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 10 oz ravioli
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, sauté onion, celery, and garlic in olive oil until softened.
  2. Add whole peeled tomatoes and brown sugar; stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Blend the soup until smooth using an immersion blender.
  4. Return the blended soup to low heat; stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add ravioli to the pot and cook until they float (about 3–5 minutes).
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
