  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the Honeycrisp apples into wedges about 1/2-inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tablespoons of cinnamon. Transfer to a container with a lid.
  3. Add the apple wedges to the flour mixture, secure the lid, and shake until evenly coated.
  4. Whisk together eggs and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  5. Dredge each apple wedge in the egg mixture, then back into the flour mixture for double coating.
  6. Mix the remaining cinnamon with light brown sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Preheat your air fryer by spraying the basket with olive oil nonstick spray.
  8. Place coated apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with oil and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mix on top. Cook at 350°F for about six minutes.
  9. Flip each wedge after six minutes, spray again with olive oil, sprinkle on remaining cinnamon sugar mix, and cook for another six minutes until crispy.
