  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pastry for double pie crust
  • 23 tablespoons butter (cut into small pieces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Line a 9-inch pie plate with the bottom crust.
  3. In a bowl, mix sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  4. Spoon the apple mixture into the prepared crust and scatter butter on top.
  5. Cover with the second pie crust; seal edges tightly.
  6. Cut slits into the top crust for ventilation.
