  • 1 small head of cabbage (cut into thick slices)
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush cabbage slices with olive oil and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef (or turkey), onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and egg until well combined.
  4. Form patties with the meat mixture and place on top of each cabbage slice.
  5. Bake for approximately 25 minutes; sprinkle cheese on top during the last few minutes.
