  • 1 lb frozen gyoza dumplings (vegan)
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 5 scallions
  • 3 Tbsp Tamari (low sodium)
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Steam the frozen gyoza according to package instructions. Toss with sesame oil or a splash of water to prevent sticking.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup. Pour over the warm dumplings and toss gently.
  3. Add chopped heirloom tomatoes, sliced cucumber, scallions, and optional chili pepper to the dumpling mixture. Mix gently.
  4. Tear fresh basil over the salad and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or crispy onions for crunch.
