  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and spices; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture; stir gently until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared dish. Mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl; fold in chopped pecans and sprinkle over the batter.
