  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 45 apples (cored and sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons apricot jam (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons cold water (as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch loose-bottom tart pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar; add chilled vegan butter and rub until crumbly. Gradually add cold water until dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and fit it into the prepared tart pan, trimming excess edges.

  5. Drizzle melted vegan butter over the apple filling.
  6. Bake for about 70 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
